Member Query of the week

We have had a lot of members asking us for advice on how to make the most out of their profiles this past week, with Christmas just around the corner our members are searching to find that special person to spend the festive season with so below is the advice we have been giving them:

1) We advise that members update their profile as often as possible (i.e photos and diary entries) This will mean that other members are drawn to their profile as they will have new photos or diary entries to view.

2) Write as much about yourself and what you are looking for in your personal profile. A lot of members do not know what to write when it comes to themselves, and so we do advise for those members on the general network to use the profile coach which will ask a series of questions before creating your profile text.

3) As a way of standing out from other profiles, we encourage our members to send gifts to other members, If you would like to do this however you will need to purchase credits which are a type of online currency, but this is a great way to break the ice

oap dating for senior citizens

At Senior Dating, we are continuously researching the market to find and understand the latest trends and developments in the dating world – with a particular focus on the oap or pensioners dating experience.

We heard today that Jamie Oliver is to launch a dating service to leverage his brand – we’re not sure if this is to be a general dating site or whether it is focused on the oap seniors dating experience. We read this and also the latest dating headlines about who Rihanna is dating and whether Natalie Imbruglia is dating Jay Kay or not.

Our observation is that the perception the media presents is one of the online dating being all about younger people – these are where all the headlines are focused. Given that oaps/ pensioners/ seniors dating are the fastest growing online segment, it seems unfair that the perception is all about the younger market.

If you have some online experiences and views, we’d love to hear them and publish them here at the Senior Dating blog – just submit your comments and views here and we’d love to share them.

over 55’s dating online are the most active and experimental

Detailed research from the Sunday Telegraph today shows the following insights into the dating experiences of the over 55’s population. Headline findings were:

- around two thirds of men and women over 55 have joined internet dating websites;

- older men and women are more likely to meet and go on dates with people they have met online, and also more likely to then go on and have more serious relationships with people met online;

- the over 55’s dating online using internet dating sites had met an average of eight people each and had relationships with an average of two people each

This research is great to hear and is based on a YouGov poll of some 2,000 men and women. This experience certainly accords with the experience of Senior Dating UK and the Senior Dating Agency both of whom cater for the over 55’s market and are experiencing strong growth and demand from the many thousands of senior daters we have signed up online.

Customer care – Seniors Dating online are managed by quality service providers

As a young brand in the market, Seniors Dating UK has partnered with the UK’s leading white label dating provider to give you the highest quality members to meet, the best online service and the best customer support. To give you trust and confidence in us as a provider, we are happy to share the latest service updates and experiences from White Label Dating – the provider who manages our customers on a day to day basis:

Hello again, it’s that time of week! This week has been busy and quick paced as usual and as always, we have pushed to ensure that we have answered all queries, phone calls and emails to the best of our ability. The team has a quick test from our manager Jessica (all in good spirit!) to sharpen our skills at catching out non-genuine photos and answering some tougher queries. Well done to Lucy and Alex for getting full marks! It’s really nice to see the team take great pride in their work. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy though, so the teams organised a social event to celebrate Amy’s 23rd birthday by going for a lovely meal in Windsor – Happy Birthday Amy!

Member Query of The Week

The main member query of last week was concerning ‘Love Alerts’. By registering for Love Alerts, you’re informed instantly via text message whenever someone sends you a private message, wink, gift or adds you as a favourite.

This is a great system for members who do not have access to the Internet during the day as it enables them to keep up to date with their accounts and keep an eye out for who’s taken an interest in them.

To use Love Alerts, the member must register their mobile on the site by going to ‘My Account and then ‘Mobile’. You must also purchase credits, to do this you need to go to ;My Account’ and then ‘Credits’. Love Alerts are charged at 1 credit per Love Alert. In recent times, we have seen a steady increase in the number of members using this facility, suggesting the use of mobile is ever increasing.

Seniors Dating Online Are the Fastest Growing Online Dating Population

A recent survey from the dating site Senior Dating UK shows that the over 50’s are the fastest growing users of online dating sites. The data compiled by Senior Dating UK showed that online dating is losing its taboo’s and is now mainstream for so many people in the UK. Commenting on the findings from the survey, Nichola Hatcher believes that there are four factors behind the growth of silver surfers dating online:

1) The over fifties are one of the wealthiest segments of society with meaningful more disposable income and less constrained to try new things;

2) The roll out of broadband making it easier for Seniors to get good fast and reliable internet access;

3) Many seniors are connecting to stay in touch with children and grandchildren and are connecting up to avoid being left behind;

4) The increase in high quality dating sites such as Senior Dating UK providing safe secure and reliable online dating services targeting at Senior Citizens dating online;

The advice from Senior Dating UK to make the most of your online dating experiences is:

1.Attend some social events – get out and about and meet some new people. Don’t just rely on the web – keep your social skills brushed up – there are plenty of events to choose from all year round and even singles’ holidays (so you can get away from winter when things start getting nasty);

2. Kickstart your online dating today – if you’re not already dating online, now’s the time to start if you want to give yourself plenty of time to find someone. Looking at up to 3 different seniors dating agency sites will give you a good idea as to what’s out there. You don’t have to pay for all of them, but setting up a free profile will help you gauge the level of response you get.

3. Prepare your dating profile and make sure its accurate and reflects the real you – this is a good time to check how you show up on your profile, add some up-to-date pictures, write about exciting things you’ve been doing.

4.Plan ahead to make yourself feel desirable in the coming months. Autumn is traditionally a period of less exercise and lots of drinking and eating now that you don’t have to show up on a beach!. If this sounds like you, then why not head it off at the pass? Whatever it is that makes you feel sexy and desirable – joining a gym, take up a dancing class (with the added bonus of meeting new people), – get yourself into the habit of doing it now.

5.Fill your diary – book events and get out and about – it’s not all about how you look. More often that not, confidence comes from how you feel (though most of us tend to feel good when we believe we look good). This time of year is great for starting a new hobby or attending an evening class, a book club, etc. These are all good ways of meeting new people, learning a new skill or developing an existing one. Apart from introducing you to new social groups, learning a new skill is a great confidence booster – especially if it’s something you’ve always wanted to do and never thought you could.

Make sure you are part of the online senior dating growth and find a partner online for friendship and romance.

dating advice from Michelle Obama

In the upcoming December issue of Glamour magazine, First Lady Michelle Obama is offering up tips on how to land a good man. The fact that she’s married to the President of the United States — and has been since 1992 — probably makes her as qualified as anyone to advise women on the subject.

What advice does Michelle Obama have to impart upon single women everywhere? “Cute’s good. But cute only lasts for so long, and then it’s, ‘Who are you as a person?’ Don’t look at the bankbook or the title. Look at the heart. Look at the soul. When you’re dating a man, you should always feel good. … You shouldn’t be in a relationship with somebody who doesn’t make you completely happy and make you feel whole.”

It’s all been said before, but I like how she puts it all together in one nice package. He’s one of the coolest guys on the planet, and she doesn’t appear to be far behind on the cool scale. Plus, they’re both attractive people. Now that I think about it, I think these two are the coolest celebrity couple (yes, even more than Brad and Angelina) in the world.

how to make connections online and meet mr or mrs right for friendship and romance

How can you connect and make friends and romance partners? Should you have a daily check-in phone call? Does he/she secretly wish you’d text her in the middle of the day for no reason but to make her smile? Identifying the right buttons to press can be complicated, because we all react differently. Some women you wish came with owner’s manuals so you knew exactly how they were wired. Luckily,  we’ve done some research and have found the top 4 ways to charm and connect with the opposite sex.

 1.Listen to his/her feelings. People are emotional beings and tend to think things through. Women are often attracted to men who are as smart or in control. Attractive qualities are certainity and sure minded ness of where you are going,

 2.Make it fun and Demonstrate humor. Women love a man who can make them laugh. Now don’t fret here if you’re not a stand-up comedian. We all have a certain type of humor. You can be dry, sarcastic, hilariously funny, quick-witted or dark. Being able to poke fun at yourself and just plain old being goofy is a turn-on for women. Keep in mind that all women are not attracted to the same type of humor, so if you don’t vibe, just walk away and try someone else.

3.Have passion. A person who lives their life with gusto is incredibly appealing. When you speak to a woman about your life, your travels, your job, your interests, speak with passion. That passion about who you are will turn her on instantly. She will start to imagine what it will be like when you are involved with her and how passionate you will speak about her.

4. Be balanced and ambitious. Women love a successful, ambitious man. They love that you work hard, but if you constantly put work ahead of her she will become turned off. She will start to imagine what life with you will be like with her needs being ignored. If you are out meeting women to date, you need to balance your life between work and play. This will be a major turn-on for her.

There’s lots more, but follow these four pointers and you can start to charm mr or mrs right for senior dating in the uk.

is it safe to pay online for online dating

Member Query of the week

Over the past week we have seen an increase in our members querying the 3-D secure code page that is presented to them when making a payment. As we know, all Internet transactions that want to provide their customers with a secure way of making a payment online now have this page implemented into their system.

For those who are unfamiliar as to what exactly this system is, 3-D Secure protocol is something we use developed by Visa to improve the security of Internet payments. We ensure any customers who query protocol are told that the service named Verified by Visa as you may know is one of the safest methods of payment. MasterCard has also adapted a similar protocol called MasterCard SecureCode that we use. Both are designed to allow authentication of cardholders by their Issuers at participating merchants. The objective is to benefit all participants by providing Issuers the ability to fully authenticate cardholders through the use of a password during Internet purchases, reducing the likelihood of fraudulent usage of Visa and MasterCard credit cards and improving overall transaction performance which is something that puts thier mind at ease.

The combined effect of ease and flexibility of implementation, secure transmission of account information, and reduced disputes offers the following benefits for all parties involved:

* Increased consumer confidence, which leads to increased sales.
* Increased card acceptance through better merchant confidence in accepting international transactions
* Reduced cardholder disputes, exception handling, retrievals, chargebacks, re-presentments, write-offs, and associated handling costs

Members that query this page simply want to know what the page is and if completed grants them immediate access as a full member to the site which is the case.

Since having the 3-D Secure Code Page on our payment system, not only has it reduced our chargeback rate, prevented fraudulent transactions but has also provided our members and partners with peace of mind.

This comment comes courtesy of White Label Dating.com who provide the platform for Senior Dating Uk and who provide all the payment systems that drive Senior Dating UK. We will continue to share with you the latest developments from White Label dating to ensure you have a safe secure environment for meeting people for friendship and romance.

safe online dating for the 50 and 60 plus age group

Senior Dating Uk and the company they work with, White Label Dating have recently released a new security feature for the the Senior Dating UK site to make your online dating experience safer and more real.

We now have the ability for members to take a photo using their web camera (Webcam) and to upload this to your dating profile. The system will provide a date stamp for this to show its authenticity. We think this is a great way for you to be confident the person you are chatting to is what they really look like with a good up to date photo. We have lots more new updates to come and will share them with you as soon as we can.

over 50’s dating advice – how to kickstart your romance search

5 things you can do now to kickstart your search for romance

If you don’t like being single and are looking for romance, now’s the time to start thinking about preparing your lovelife …

Here are 5 things you can do right now to get started:

1.Attend some social events – get out and about and meet some new people. There are plenty of events to choose from all year round and even singles’ holidays (so you can get away from winter when things start getting nasty);

2. Kickstart your online dating today – if you’re not already dating online, now’s the time to start if you want to give yourself plenty of time to find someone. Looking at at least 5 different dating sites will give you a good idea as to what’s out there.

Of course, this is an on-going job.

4.Plan ahead to make yourself feel desirable in the coming months. Autumn is traditionally a period of less exercise and lots of drinking and eating now that you dont have to show up on a beach!. If this sounds like you, then why not head it off at the pass? Whatever it is that makes you feel sexy and desirable – joining a gym, get a trainer. play some squash, take up a dancing class (with the added bonus of meeting new people), - get yourself into the habit of doing it now.

5.Fill your diary – book events and get out and about - it’s not all about how you look.
